Salaries increased by 3% in June and far outpaced inflation.
Thanks to Milei's government, the purchasing power of Argentine workers is increasing
The Wage Index published by INDEC showed a 3% increase in June 2025 compared to May, with a year-on-year increase of 60.7%. This growth reflects a significant improvement in the purchasing power of Argentine workers, especially in the face of inflation, which in June was 1.6% monthly, with a year-on-year variation of 39.4% and a cumulative increase for the year of 15.1%.
The wage increase was distributed unevenly by sector: 1.7% monthly in the registered private sector, 1.3% in the public sector, and a notable 8.9% in the unregistered sector. With these increases, the average wage accumulated a 20.7% growth so far this year.

The contrast with inflation indicates that wages are outpacing price increases, generating a rise in the purchasing power of Argentine workers. It is especially relevant that the most vulnerable sectors, such as unregistered workers, experienced a remarkable monthly percentage increase, far exceeding the month's inflation.
This positive trend is due to the successful policies implemented by Javier Milei's government, which managed to balance, and even surpass, wage growth with price stability. The combination of inflation control and sustained wage increases allows workers' real incomes to recover ground lost in previous years due to Kirchnerist governments.

This way, the June data show that wages are not only growing in nominal terms, but their evolution consistently outpaces inflation, strengthening Argentines' purchasing power and consolidating a context of economic improvement for the coming months.
