On a day filled with institutional tension, Marcelo Moretti confirmed that he will remain as president of San Lorenzo and flatly ruled out the possibility of resigning or taking a leave of absence. The decision came in the context of a key day for the club's political life, marked by unfinished meetings and judicial summons.
The Board of Directors had been convened for this Tuesday at 11 in the box at the Nuevo Gasómetro, but the meeting could not proceed normally. Several directors had to appear before the Public Prosecutor's Office, which forced the interruption of the meeting and the calling of a recess. The conclave has continued since 17, but there is no guarantee that any important decision will be made in what remains of the day.
Among the directors who attended the judicial summons was Moretti himself, who later made his position clear. "I am not going to resign. We are analyzing so that San Lorenzo can have the politics and continuity that it must have. A power vacuum is not advisable in these cases", stated the president, who also confirmed that he will take part in the second part of the meeting.

In the same vein, he called for caution and internal dialogue. "We must be very cautious and remain calm. We must reach agreements with certain sectors of the opposition, also with the ruling party. We must understand that the situation is delicate", he emphasized.
Moretti also stressed the support received from the Argentine Football Association. "We are, as always, grateful for the support from AFA, from Chiqui Tapia and Pablo Toviggino. It is important that we have the political maturity to understand the situation and today to leave with a Board of Directors' resolution so that San Lorenzo can continue on its natural course and begin to redirect a lot of issues that were put on hold", he expressed.
