The prosecutor commented on the status of the case against the president of San Lorenzo regarding the alleged bribes
The case involving the president of San Lorenzo, Marcelo Moretti, took a key turn following statements from prosecutor Mónica Cuñarro, who is in charge of the case for alleged fraudulent administration.
In an interview with Radio Continental, Cuñarro explained that the investigation focuses on two payments in dollars received by Morettiin exchange for signing a particular individual's son as a player for the club. "We have to gather all the elements to get to the truth," she stated.

According to her explanation, a payment of 20,000 dollars and another of 5,000 are under investigation, both reported on a Canal 9 program. The person who delivered the money was summoned to testify and confirmed the events, although he claimed it was "a joke." Meanwhile, AFA reported that the signing was completed during an extraordinary period, but the player did not play any official minutes.
The prosecutor also revealed accounting irregularities: neither the 2024 balance sheet nor the annual report was submitted to the General Inspectorate of Justice, and the account auditors confirmed that they never approved those documents. In addition, auditors and Treasury employees stated that there was no donation in dollars: "The accountants and external auditors confirm that they have no record of that money, therefore that money never entered the club," Cuñarro emphasized.

In light of this evidence, the prosecutor requested Moretti's questioning, although his defense requested to halt the process due to the existence of two cases in different jurisdictions and asked for the investigation to be transferred to the contraventional jurisdiction. "As long as Congress doesn't modify it, crimes of fraudulent administration must be investigated in the national jurisdiction," Cuñarro warned.
For now, Moretti remains free since he has no prior record and, according to the prosecutor, there is no risk of obstruction of the case. However, the official's situation is becoming more complicated as the investigation progresses and new evidence accumulates, pointing to an alleged "textbook fraudulent administration."
