The sports crisis of Central Córdoba found no solution and ended with a new change on the bench. With one match left before the end of the Torneo Clausura, the management of the Santiago team decided to end Sebastián Domínguez's cycle, who had arrived just three months ago to replace Lucas Pusineri.
The institution made the news official through its social media, where it announced: "The Club Atlético Central Córdoba informs that coach Sebastián Domínguez and his coaching staff are no longer part of the institution. Central Córdoba thanks them for their work and wishes them success in their future challenges".
The decision was made after a meeting between the coach and the club authorities, in which both parties agreed to end the relationship. Thus, the former defender concluded his brief tenure at Ferroviario with a negative balance: he managed 13 matches, of which he won 2, drew 4, and lost 7.
The current sporting situation of the team was decisive for the decision. Central Córdoba occupies the last place in Zone A of the Clausura, with 10 points, and is also facing a complicated scenario in the Annual Table, where it ranks 27th with 23 points. Additionally, it shares that position in the average table, meaning it will enter the next season committed to the fight for survival.
With Domínguez's departure, the interim coaching staff will be made up of Juan Carlos Roldán and Juan Domingo Contreras, who will be responsible for leading the team in the last match of the championship against Lanús, scheduled for Sunday at 19:30.
Coaches who left their positions in 2026
Duró's departure once again highlights the instability of coaching positions in Argentine football. Of the 30 teams in the top category, only 10 did not change coaches, while the other 20 saw 30 coaches come and go, a figure that reflects the frequency of changes during the season.
