The Spanish party Vox promised to deport 8 million illegal immigrants

The right-wing group targeted those immigrants who do not share Spanish culture

VOX's president, Santiago Abascal, clarified on Tuesday that his party proposes deporting "all" immigrants who have arrived in Spain with criminal intent, as well as unaccompanied foreign minors, considering that "they should be with their parents".

The leader expressed this in a post on the social network X, cited by Europa Press, where he clarified that "VOX hasn't stated the number of those who should be deported", since, as he pointed out, "we don't know".

However, according to statements by VOX's spokesperson, Rocío De Meer, the number of illegal immigrants to be deported would reach 8 million, along with those who don't share Spanish culture and don't adapt to society.

Abascal detailed that the measure would apply to "all those who have come to commit crimes. All those who intend to impose a foreign religion. All those who mistreat or belittle women. All those who have come to live off the efforts of others". He also insisted that "all unaccompanied minors, because minors have to be with their parents".

VOX stated that, for now, they don't know the exact number of illegal immigrants in the country: “When we get to the government, we'll know. All of them will leave. The first to celebrate it alongside Spaniards will be the legal immigrants, those who follow the rules and respect the country that welcomes them.”

During a press conference at the party's headquarters, Rocío De Meer, national spokesperson on demographic emergency and social policies, stated on Monday: “We were told that four refugees were coming who were fleeing a war, but they weren't four and they weren't refugees. There are millions. In fact, they're going to change the configuration and they're changing the configuration of our society.”

De Meer also pointed out: “If out of 47 million inhabitants in our country, more or less 7, more than 7 million because we have to take into account the second generation, 8 million people are people who have come from different origins in a very short period of time and, therefore, it's extraordinarily difficult for them to adapt to our customs and traditions, then what we're seeing are the consequences we're seeing.”

According to the VOX leader, “all these millions of people” who have recently arrived and who “haven't adequately adapted” to the local culture, and who in many cases “were involved in scenes of insecurity” in neighborhoods and communities, “will have to return to their countries”.

This will be an extraordinarily complex process of re-emigration”, she added, emphasizing: “We have the right to want to survive as a people”.
