Among other issues, Javier Milei's administration has been focusing on reducing the tax burden and removing regulations, eliminating or lowering taxes to encourage investment by business owners.
In Córdoba they seem to have taken note, and the results can already be seen.
Through the Industrial Promotion regime, the Government reduced taxes for companies located in the departments in the southern part of the province, such as Río Cuarto and Juárez Celman, with the aim of strengthening the area's productive network.
Empresas de Juárez Celman y Río Cuarto realizaron inversiones y ampliaron su capacidad de producción para ganar competitividad.
These measures aim to stimulate investment, promote technological innovation, and consolidate industrial development.
In addition, they provide the possibility of modernizing processes, improving efficiency, and creating new employment opportunities.
Companies that made investments thanks to the tax cuts
Among the companies that benefited is Arbro, which expanded its industrial plant by incorporating machinery such as a welding robot and a laser cutter, strengthening its production capacity.
Meanwhile, Geli-Ar built a high-capacity cold storage facility for ultra-frozen foods, improving logistics and the cold chain.
In the Juárez Celman department, Arg de Graaf promoted two initiatives: the start-up of a biomass-based power generation plant in the town of Carnerillo, using peanut shells, and the incorporation of new production lines through industrial equipment.
The Industrial Promotion regime, approved by the Legislature in 2021 through Law 10.792, includes exemptions from Gross Income, Property, and Stamp taxes, subsidies for hiring staff, and assistance related to electricity consumption, measures intended to improve the competitiveness of Córdoba's industries and encourage new investments.
