Prime Video: Sylvester Stallone's latest film is a success despite negative reviews
Although critics didn't forgive her, Alarum with Stallone became one of the most-watched titles on Prime Video without any promotion
Sylvester Stallone returns to the spotlight with a film that was torn apart by critics but leads in views on Prime Video. Without promotion and with a modest production, it managed to become one of the most-watched titles on the platform.
The film is titled "Alarum" and is directed by Michael Polish. He is joined by Scott Eastwood, son of the legendary Clint. Although no one seems to save it on specialized websites, the audience is still choosing it.

Stallone, questioned by critics
With forgettable releases like "The Expendables 4", the actor's career has been in decline. However, he continues to attract attention, even in projects that lack much luster.
"Alarum" received almost no positive reviews. On sites like Filmaffinity, it is described as poor and soulless, although Stallone's presence is highlighted as its only redeeming quality.
Critics held nothing back
Variety pointed out that the film "tries to make up for its lack of resources with action but ends up being vulgar." ScreenRant was more direct: "There's no fun in this mediocre thriller that squanders all its potential."

Even so, the title made its way into the most-watched on Amazon Prime Video and reached fourth place in the global ranking.
What is Alarum about
The story revolves around Joe and Lara, two married spies who try to remain anonymous. However, their retirement at a winter station is threatened by an intelligence network pursuing a valuable secret.

Both are suspected of being part of "Alarum", a clandestine group of rogue spies. From there, conflict becomes inevitable and the action escalates.
A classic plot, with little substance
The premise seems to promise action and tension. However, the execution failed to convince in terms of pacing or visual quality.
Despite this, Stallone's mere presence seems enough to spark curiosity and generate views.
