CONMEBOL officially announced that the final of the 2025 Copa Sudamericana will be held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The president of the South American Confederation, Alejandro Domínguez, was the one who shared the news through his social media.
"Bolivia will be the host in the year it celebrates its Bicentennial and the Centenary of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF)", highlighted the official.

This will be the first time a final of the Sudamericana or Libertadores, under the single-match format, is played in Bolivia since this system was established by CONMEBOL in 2018. This designation represents a milestone for Bolivian football, which will be the stage for an international event of great significance.
This is not the first time Bolivia hosts a decisive match. In 2004, Bolívar defeated Boca 1-0 at the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz, in the first leg of the continental tournament final. Despite this initial victory, the Argentine team turned the series around at La Bombonera, winning 2-0 and becoming champions.
