The birth of Dante, the first child of Chino Darín and Úrsula Corberó, was surrounded by emotion…and also by tension. In recent hours, it became known that the actor was close to not making it to the delivery due to work commitments that were keeping him in Argentina.
The baby was born on February 9 in Barcelona and, days later, the son of Ricardo Darín spoke with the European press before returning to Buenos Aires to resume a shoot. From Adolfo Suárez Airport in Madrid, he told how he experienced those decisive hours.
"I escaped from a shoot in Buenos Aires to try to hit the due date and everything turned out fantastic", he explained. According to what he detailed, the filming schedule coincided with the estimated days for the birth, which created uncertainty about whether he would manage to be present.

The actor acknowledged that for weeks he feared he would not be able to travel in time. "I thought I wasn't going to be able to come, that I wasn't going to be at the delivery. I managed to be there and it was a glorious, very powerful, transformative experience", he expressed sincerely.
Although he managed to witness his son's birth, he admitted that returning to work was not easy. "I haven't been sleeping at all; these have been very intense days. I feel terrible about leaving, but I'm very fortunate to have been able to be there", he noted.
The performer also clarified that at one point they considered having the baby born in Argentina, given that he had long-term professional commitments. However, they quickly ruled out that possibility. "The baby is born where the mother wants. It seemed right to me that it should be that way", he stated, prioritizing Corberó's decision.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Darín publicly celebrated the arrival of his first grandchild into the world. "Fortunately, both of them are doing very well. Everything turned out fantastic. He's very tiny. We are all very happy", he expressed.

He also confirmed that the baby is a boy and revealed the chosen name: Dante. "It's a name with a lot of meaning", emphasized the actor, who stayed in Spain for a few days to accompany the family after the natural birth.
