Journalist Gustavo Méndez became embroiled in a major controversy after various colleagues linked him to the alleged organization of coordinated attacks on social media against entertainment journalism figures.
The situation unfolded in parallel with another version that circulated on television: according to what Marcela Tauro said on Intrusos, Méndez could be replaced by Facundo Ventura on La mañana con Moria.

According to what was stated on air, Moria Casán would not look favorably on the journalist being repeatedly involved in controversies related to China Suárez, with whom he is usually linked in the media as an alleged "spokesperson."
In recent hours, journalists such as Pilar Smith, Guido Zaffora and Pepe Ochoa reported on their social media accounts the existence of a group of followers who would be organizing to systematically attack communicators who report on the so-called "Wandagate" and its protagonists, including Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi.
Gustavo Méndez usaba su influencia en redes para sacar mentiras de Wanda y Mauro
According to what accounts such as @sangremediatica and @Selviii_oficial posted on the social network X, inside private chats some users would have mentioned having a direct connection with Méndez. In the screenshots that were shared —whose authenticity has not been officially confirmed— alleged messages can be read in which there is talk of coordinating posts and responding en masse to certain journalists.
One of the most sensitive points is the version that the host of La Posta would have moderated offensive comments directed even at his own colleague, Naiara Vecchio, on the show they share on the TV Pública streaming platform.

In addition, from the @Selviii_oficial account it was reported that the group would have tried to spread on social media an extremely serious version that involved Wanda Nara and Icardi's daughters and Martín Migueles, information that was later also repeated on television.
A large number of journalists would have decided to initiate legal action
So far, Gustavo Méndez has not made any public statements regarding the accusations. There has also not been a formal statement from the channel or from TV Pública in relation to the issue.
In contrast, some of the journalists who claimed to have been the target of attacks indicated in advance that they are considering initiating legal action against those who are found responsible for the alleged digital harassment campaign.
