A lane on Bv. San Juan has been opened after the demolition work on the building was completed.
Starting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, access to the west side will be opened after the bricks are removed from the building's side wall
Córdoba Municipality reported that this Monday the north lane of Bv San Juan, between Arturo M Bas and Corro streets, has been opened.Traffic will be allowed starting at 5:00 p.m., after the removal of the brick cladding was completed. The lateral structure belonged to the María Reina V building, where the collapse occurred.
Guillermo Brasca, a member of the company in charge of the work, confirmed that the work on the front of the building has already been completed. He indicated that the exterior brick cladding of the wall that posed a risk was completely dismantled. The area had been fenced off as a precaution while technical tasks were underway.

Traffic normalization returns to the area
Brasca explained that debris accumulated during the demolition stage of the facade material is currently being cleared. He added that the safety fencing will be replaced with a smaller one to free up space on the street. Once that task is completed, the company's technical team will leave the site.
This action was part of a commitment made between the company and the building owners' association during the month of June. The intention was to prevent further worsening of the damage caused by the collapse that occurred weeks ago. The incident took place on May 17 and resulted in one fatality and seven injuries.

Next stages of the project
The Municipality reported that the other lane of Bv San Juan still needs to be opened, although there is no set date for that second stage yet. Meanwhile, the building owners' association must submit a new corrective work plan. The plan will need to be reviewed and approved by the authorities before its execution.
Municipal spokespersons indicated that after the risk is reduced, work will focus on the area affected by the structural collapse. The property where the incident occurred remains closed and under urban security control. It is also expected that the official investigation will begin in the coming days, with no confirmed date.
Meanwhile, business owners and residents of the area affected by the collapse expressed concern about the consequences of the closure on Bv San Juan. According to their statements, the interruption of traffic has significantly reduced the flow of people and directly affected their income. Some business owners claim that sales have dropped by up to 50% since the start of the project.
