Agustín Rossi, current Flamengo goalkeeper and former Boca, was a victim of an insecurity incident in Brazil. His car was shot at in Rio de Janeiro during an attempted robbery, after returning to the country following the 1-1 draw against Central Córdoba in Santiago del Estero for the Copa Libertadores.
The incident occurred around 5:30 in the morning, when the Mengao players were leaving the airport and driving along the Linha Amarela, near Bonsucesso, in the north of Rio de Janeiro. On that route, they were intercepted by armed criminals who attempted to rob them.
One of the most affected was the Argentine goalkeeper who, while driving, received four bullet impacts on his vehicle. However, thanks to the car being armored, Rossi was not injured and was able to arrive home safely, although with the emotional impact of the experience.

From the Carioca club, they reported that none of the players were injured or lost belongings, and all managed to reach their homes in good condition.
Meanwhile, the Rio Military Police communicated that officers from the Expressways Police Battalion (BPVE) carried out operations in the area and took the victims to the 21st Precinct to provide their testimony about the attack.

The club's statement
"Upon landing in Rio de Janeiro, around 5:30 in the morning, returning home after a match in Argentina valid for the Conmebol Libertadores, some cars belonging to Flamengo players were subject to an attempted robbery on the Linha Amarela, near Bonsucesso," the institution reported.
"The vehicle where goalkeeper Rossi was, which is armored, received four shots. Despite the serious incident, the attempt was unsuccessful, and none of the athletes or passengers in the vehicles were injured. All the players involved are now at their homes. More information about the incident will be updated throughout the day," added the Mengao.
