Beatriz Noemí Vaccarezza, a 90-year-old retiree, was beaten to death by violent criminals who entered her home in El Palomar, in the Buenos Aires district of Morón, with intentions to rob. Her 63-year-old daughter found her lifeless in her bed, tied with a zip tie.

According to police sources, the crime took place in a house located on Mariano Escalada Street, near the intersection with Espora.

As every morning, the victim's daughter went to visit her and upon arrival noticed that the front door was open and the bars on a window had been forced. Upon entering, she discovered Beatriz in bed, motionless and with a zip tie securing her right hand. She immediately alerted 911.

Minutes later, officers from the 5th Police Station of Villa Sarmiento arrived at the residence along with personnel from SAME, who confirmed Vaccarezza's death.

According to sources, the house was completely ransacked and the theft of 40,000 pesos, a .22 caliber revolver with ammunition, several jewels, and a notebook was confirmed.

Prosecutor Paula Salevski, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) No. 4 of Morón, is leading the investigation of the case, which was classified as homicide.

Officers from the Departmental Investigations Directorate (DDI) and the Tactical Operations Group (GTO) are analyzing security camera footage and other evidence with the aim of identifying the murderers, who are still at large.

"These scum killed an elderly woman. It was an extreme situation, with a lot of violence," said Damián Cardoso, Morón's Security Secretary, in a conversation with the TN channel.

A police officer murdered

Meanwhile, Sergio Gabriel Pardo, a former member of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), was murdered on Thursday afternoon in Cuartel V, in the Moreno district, during a violent assault carried out by a gang that surprised him and stole a significant amount of money from him.

The 58-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the groin area, which caused a fatal hemorrhage. He died at the scene without receiving assistance.

The attack occurred around 4 p.m., at the intersection of Route 24 and Conscripto Bernardi, while Pardo was driving his truck to a bus company, where he was supposed to pay the employees' salaries.
