The Argentine automotive market is preparing for one of the strongest moves of the year: the arrival of the Toyota Yaris Cross. This new compact SUV from the Japanese brand will be officially launched in February 2026 at all dealerships in the country.

The model will mark Toyota's entry into the competitive B-SUV segment, which currently represents more than 17% of sales in Argentina. In addition, it will be the brand's first hybrid in this category.

A key launch for Toyota in the region

The Yaris Cross will arrive at a strategic moment: the conventional Yaris has just surpassed 10 million units produced globally and leads domestic sales during 2025. Toyota projects that half of the new model's sales will correspond to hybrid variants.

The SUV targets both those looking to enter the brand for the first time and those who already drive a Toyota.

Design and main features of the Toyota Yaris Cross

The Yaris Cross adopts a robust design and a high stance typical of SUVs. Its standout elements include:

  • 17” wheels (XLI) and 18” wheels (XEI and SEG).
  • Double trapezoidal grille, gloss black details, and LED fog lights starting from XEI.
  • Roof rails, black side moldings, and full-LED rear lights.

  • Instrument cluster with 7” TFT display starting from XEI.
  • USB-C ports and air vents for the rear seats.
  • Trunk capacity of 400 liters (105.7 gallons) in gasoline versions and 391 liters (103.3 gallons) in hybrids.

The multimedia center is 10” with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SEG versions add a 360° camera, and XEI versions include a wireless charger.
