Toyota officially unveiled the new generation of the Hilux, one of the most iconic models in the automotive market. It introduces a historic change with the arrival of a 100% electric version and a future variant with a hydrogen fuel cell, setting the brand's course toward more sustainable mobility.
When asked by TN Autos, Toyota Argentina clarified that the new Hilux will not be launched locally in 2026. The Japanese company will continue to invest in its Zárate plant, which currently produces the eighth generation.

A more modern, powerful, and sustainable Hilux
The new Hilux is part of Toyota's "Multipath" strategy, which offers different powertrain options depending on each market: electric, hybrid, diesel, or gasoline. Under the premise "Tough & Agile," the exterior design has been updated with more robust lines, slim headlights, and a front bar that highlights the brand's name.
Inside, the cabin shows a notable improvement in materials and technology. A customizable 12.3-inch digital panel and a central multimedia screen of the same size stand out. In addition, it features full connectivity with a wireless charger and rear USB ports.
More comfort and safety for every road
The Hilux adds electric power steering to improve maneuverability on difficult terrain and an expanded safety package with blind spot monitoring.
