Toyota introduced in China a deep update of the Toyota Corolla, one of the best-selling sedans in the world. The model adds visible changes in the design, grows in size, and debuts a more powerful hybrid powertrain.
The update corresponds to the twelfth generation and is more ambitious than the version that is currently sold in South America. The information comes from the official presentation carried out by Toyota in the Chinese market.

A redesign aligned with Toyota's new identity
The new Corolla adopts the brand's latest design language from the Japanese manufacturer. This style can already be seen in models such as the Prius and RAV4.
The front end is the area with the most changes, with sharper headlights and a C-shaped light signature. On the sides, new wheels are incorporated, and at the rear, a continuous silhouette is maintained.
Larger and with better habitability
One of the key new features is the growth in dimensions. Toyota extended the wheelbase by 5 centimeters (2 inches) of the TNGA platform.

It now reaches 2.75 meters (9.02 feet), which clearly improves the space for passengers in the rear seats. There were also tweaks to the suspension to accompany this change.
