A statistical report based on measurements from Kantar Ibope revealed a marked decline in ratings for the main news media in Argentina, comparing April 2026 with the averages recorded over the last ten years.
The comparative graph shows that all analyzed channels recorded declines in their audience levels, in a scenario marked by the transformation of information consumption and the loss of credibility of traditional media in the face of the growth of social networks and new digital platforms.
Among the most significant cases is La Nación+, which suffered one of the most pronounced drops, going from a historical average of 2.30 points to just 0.86 in April 2026. Similarly, Crónica TV fell from 2.20 to 0.96 points, breaking through the rating point barrier, while Canal 26 dropped from 1.50 to 0.69 points.

Other channels also reflected significant setbacks. A24 went from 2.00 to 1.34 points, while C5N decreased from 2.70 to 1.86. For its part, TN was the medium that best resisted the trend, with a slight variation from 2.40 to 2.38 points, allowing it to remain the leader in the comparison for April 2026.
