The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced the institutional structure that the Gaza Strip will have after the signing of peace between Israel and the terrorist group Hamas, and the acceptance of an international oversight framework led by Washington and other countries.
The initiative is part of the so-called Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, a 20-point roadmap promoted by the U.S. administration with the objective of moving toward a stage of stability, reconstruction, and orderly governance of the territory.
According to the details provided, the new political and administrative framework will be composed of different levels of leadership, with differentiated functions among the deliberative, executive, and administrative bodies that will take part in the transition process toward a civil government.

The Peace Council
The central deliberative body will be the so-called Peace Council, conceived as a kind of international assembly made up of several member countries. This body will be responsible for overseeing compliance with the peace agreement and for establishing the general guidelines for the institutional future of the Gaza Strip. According to the information released, Donald Trump himself will hold the presidency of the Council, from which he will coordinate the political and strategic monitoring of the process.
The Peace Executive Council
Below that level, the Peace Executive Council will operate as the executive body. This entity will be made up of officials from the U.S. government, business leaders, and international political figures with experience in diplomacy, infrastructure, development, and economic strategy.
Its presidency will be held by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. Among its functions is the implementation of the decisions adopted by the Peace Council, as well as the guidance of the reconstruction process and institutional reorganization of the Palestinian territory, including, among other things, the creation of regional relations, the attraction of investment, large-scale financing, and capital mobilization.
