President Javier Milei received a formal proposal from his United States counterpart, Donald Trump, for Argentina to participate in a new international forum focused on the promotion of peace.
The information was released through a post by the Argentine president on the social network X, where he detailed the content of the initiative and shared the letter sent by the U.S. head of state.
In his message, Milei reported that the invitation includes Argentina's incorporation as a founding member of an organization called Board of Peace. “It is an honor for me to have received tonight the invitation for Argentina to join, as a Founding Member, the Board of Peace”, wrote the president, specifying that it is “an organization created by President Trump to promote lasting peace in regions affected by conflicts, starting with the Gaza Strip”.

In the same post, the head of state set out the position of the Argentine government on international policy and security. “Argentina will always stand on the side of countries that fight terrorism head-on, that defend life and property, and that promote peace and freedom”, Milei stated.
The president also highlighted the political significance of the invitation and the role assigned to the country within the new international framework. “It is an honor for us to accompany you in such a great responsibility”, he stated, before closing the message with one of his usual slogans: “LONG LIVE FREEDOM, DAMN IT...!!!”.
According to Milei, the proposal was formalized through a personal letter sent by Donald Trump. In the text, the U.S. president stated: “It is a great honor for me to invite you, as president of the Argentine Republic, to join me in a historic and magnificent effort to consolidate peace in the Middle East and, at the same time, to undertake a new and bold approach to resolving the global conflict”.
In the letter, Trump referred to a previously presented initiative. “I announced the Comprehensive Plan to end the Gaza conflict, an extraordinary 20-point roadmap that was quickly embraced by all world leaders, including the main heads of state of the Arab world, Israel, and Europe”, he indicated.
