The President of the United States strongly criticized the leftist congresswoman following the jihadist's disastrous comments about Kirk

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, publicly lashed out this Thursday against leftist Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar, highlighting her Somali origin to question her right to comment on the country's internal affairs.
This new controversy arises after Omar's detestable statements in which she described the ultraconservative activist Charlie Kirk as a "stochastic terrorist," days after he was killed.
Through his official account on Truth Social, Trump unleashed harsh personal criticism against Omar. "Ilhan Omar's country,Somalia, is plagued by a lack of central government control, persistent poverty, hunger, terrorism, piracy, decades of civil war, corruption, and widespread violence," he wrote.

He also added that 70% of the population lives in extreme poverty and suffers from food insecurity. Based on that, he questioned how someone with those roots dares to tell Americans how to run the United States."
The president also revived an interesting theory, pointing out that Omar allegedly married her own brother to obtain U.S. citizenship, an accusation Omar has tried to deny, but has not been debunked.
The controversy arises after Omar, a representative from Minnesota and one of the most leftist voices in Congress, made a heartless comment in which she "lamented" Kirk's death, but at the same time labeled him as a "provocateur of hate speech and racism."

This triggered a Republican offensive led by Congresswoman Nancy Mace, who introduced a motion to censure Omar and remove her from her positions on the Education and Workforce committees.
However, the motion failed on Wednesday in the House of Representatives after a close vote of 214 against and 213 in favor. Omar celebrated the defeat of this initiative, noting on her X account that those who voted against it did not necessarily do so to "protect her," but to defend the principles of freedom of expression enshrined in the First Amendment. "This country defends freedom, and what is happening is unacceptable," the congresswoman stated.
Ilhan Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, in 1982, and fled with her family to a refugee camp in Kenya at the age of four, amid a bloody civil war. She arrived in the United States in 1995 and became a citizen in 2000.
