The President of the United States issued a strong warning to NATO to put pressure on ending the war in Ukraine

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has issued a strong call to NATO member countries to take tougher measures against Russia and China in the context of the war in Ukraine.
In a detailed post on Truth Social and in a letter addressed to all nations of the alliance, Trump proposed a series of coordinated actions aimed at exerting greater pressure on Moscow and, at the same time, on Beijing, whom he accuses of having significant control over the regime of Vladimir Putin.
Trump stated that the United States is willing to impose severe sanctions against Russia, but made this action conditional on NATO's European countries stopping their purchases of Russian oil and adopting their own sanctions.
He strongly criticized several alliance members for continuing to import Russian energy, which, according to him, considerably weakens the Western bloc's bargaining power. He described these purchases as "surprising" and a sign that NATO isn't "100%" committed to the cause.

In addition to sanctions against Russia, Trump proposed that NATO impose punitive tariffs of 50% to 100% on Chinese products, which would remain in place until the war in Ukraine ends.
According to the president, China exerts "strong influence and even control" over Russia, so sanctioning Beijing would be an effective way to weaken the Kremlin and force an end to the conflict. Once peace is restored, these tariffs would be completely removed.
In his message, Trump also launched criticisms at former Democratic President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He stated that the war in Ukraine "would never have started" if he had been in power from the beginning, calling the conflict "Biden and Zelensky's war." Nevertheless, he presented himself as an actor willing to intervene to stop the war and save thousands of Russian and Ukrainian lives.
The American president maintained that, if his recommendations aren't followed, NATO would be wasting the time, energy, and resources of the United States. He concluded his message with a defiant tone: "I'm ready to act. Just tell me when."
