Trump wants to organize a summit with Putin and Zelensky for next Friday
Trump returned to the White House from his summit with Putin in Alaska and is already preparing the next step to achieve peace in Ukraine: a meeting with Putin and Zelensky
President Donald Trump's efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine are ongoing. After his historic summit in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Republican leader is seeking to organize a trilateral summit with Putin and Zelensky as early as next Friday, according to Axios.
Upon his return to Washington, during a call following the summit, Trump communicated with Zelensky and his European allies, who were invited to a meeting next Monday at the White House.
The President of the United States and his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, informed Zelensky and the leaders of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Finland, NATO, and the European Union about the conditions that Putin proposed for signing peace.

Putin's demands.
Washington stated that Putin had demanded that Ukraine cede Donetsk and Luhansk, two of the four regions the Kremlin leader claims, as well as that the U.S. recognize Russian sovereignty over these territories. Russia controls almost the entire Luhansk region, but only about three-quarters of Donetsk.
In exchange for Ukraine withdrawing from Donetsk, Putin is willing to freeze the advance of his troops in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, areas where the Russian army has not made significant advances for some time.
A Ukrainian source commented that the U.S. side was left with the impression that Putin would be willing to negotiate over the small parts of territory under Russian control in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Ukraine would be provided with security guarantees.
Trump described Friday's summit as a success and said that he and Putin had reached an agreement on most issues. The Republican leader secured a major concession from his Russian counterpart: providing Ukraine with security guarantees.
This idea is one that Zelensky and his European allies have been discussing for some time, since the presence of foreign forces on Ukrainian territory would prevent any kind of Russian invasion in the future. In this regard, China was mentioned as one of the possible security guarantors.
According to a Ukrainian official, his country felt encouraged by the fact that Trump supported the idea of security guarantees and that Putin agreed to this proposal, although, of course, the talks remain at an early stage.
