Trump will send weapons to Ukraine and has threatened Putin with tariffs if he doesn't sign the peace agreement.
The U.S. president is increasingly angry with Vladimir Putin, who seems unwilling to move toward peace
Tired of peace negotiations not making progress, President Donald Trump confirmed that he will send a significant amount of weaponry to Ukraine and warned that the United States will impose "very tough" tariffs on Russia if the Kremlin doesn't agree to establish a ceasefire within the next 50 days.
"We are very, very dissatisfied with Russia, and we're going to apply very tough tariffs if we don't reach an agreement in about 50 days," Trump declared during a meeting in the Oval Office with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
The U.S. president indicated that he is considering the application of a secondary tariff of 100%, which would affect countries that maintain trade relations with Moscow, with the goal of weakening the financing of the war with Ukraine.

Putin chooses to go all in on the war
In recent weeks, Trump has shown an increase in his dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a time when Russian forces continue attacking Ukrainian territory with missiles, despite pressure from Washington to end the hostilities and sign a peace agreement.
"The only one we still haven't been able to reach is Russia. I'm not happy. I'll tell you that Ukraine wants to do something," Trump stated, emphasizing that this conflict has been one of the few he has not managed to solve so far. "It's all talk, and then the missiles hit Kyiv and kill 60 people," he concluded.
Trump also highlighted a recent agreement reached with NATO to supply weaponry to Ukraine, noting that the military alliance will cover the costs for the weapons sent.

Ukraine will receive advanced military equipment
On Sunday night, Donald Trump told the press that he plans to send Ukraine, through European nations, "various highly advanced military equipment," including Patriot air defense systems.
According to Trump, European countries will cover "the entire cost (100%)" of these weapons. "It'll be a good deal for us," the current president stated.
He also expressed his deep disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that "he promised to seek peace," but instead has intensified the attacks against Ukraine.
