Flamengo is experiencing a record-breaking season in revenue thanks to its sporting achievements, and it still has room to further increase its figures
Domestically, Flamengo also collected revenue. Its victory in the Supercopa do Brasil meant USD 2.18 million, while the Campeonato Carioca title brought in another USD 545,000, a smaller amount compared to international tournaments, but relevant within the annual balance.
Flamengo is having an exceptional 2025 not only in sports, but also financially. The Carioca club, excluding sponsors and considering only sporting achievements, has already accumulated around 67 million dollars in revenue, and could still add more prize money in the coming weeks.
The largest income came from the Copa Libertadores, a tournament that Mengão won for the fourth time in its history after defeating Palmeiras in Lima. Between participation payments, victories, and advancing through rounds, Flamengo earned USD 36.15 million, including the USD 24 million champion's prize, the highest ever awarded by CONMEBOL. This figure also reflects the three group stage victories (USD 990,000), payments for each round surpassed, and the USD 7 million for reaching the final.
Internationally, another decisive contribution came from the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Although it was eliminated in the round of 16 against Bayern Munich, its campaign brought in USD 27.7 million. Just for participating, it received USD 18 million, in addition to prizes for two group stage victories (USD 4 million), a draw (USD 1 million), and advancing to the round of 16 (USD 4.7 million).
Far from closing its financial year, Flamengo still has two key opportunities to increase its resources. If it manages to win the Brasileirao 2025, a tournament it will win if it draws in the next match against Ceará at home, the club will obtain about 9 million dollars, plus another 12 million in additional sponsorship prizes.
Additionally, in the coming days the team will play the FIFA Intercontinental Club Cup in Qatar, a tournament that also offers a special gain depending on performance. A strong showing could further increase the total amount Flamengo has been building in a historic year.
