The start of the 2026 tax calendar confirmed the enormous responsibility of Córdoba's private sector. The payment of the Urban Property Tax recorded a year-on-year increase of 30% in the first days of January. Taxpayers have already paid 10% of the total urban properties with a notable financial effort.
Civic behavior responds to a 28.3% adjustment scheme that, exceptionally, did not punish people's pockets. Faced with lower tax pressure, 95% of citizens chose to capitalize on the current discounts through the single installment. Only 5% preferred the installment payment system to settle their obligations with the tax authorities.
Families managed their income efficiently in order to protect their assets without depending on state assistance. The most widely used payment method was the credit card with the 6-installment interest-free plan. This financial tool allowed private citizens to maintain fiscal order in their households.

Lower tax pressure generates greater compliance
The data show that relief from tax suffocation encourages productive sectors. The scheme grants a 30% discount for those who maintain a compliant record with the public administration. This benefit is complemented by an additional 15% for early payment of the Urban Property Tax and the Motor Vehicle Tax.
The productive engine of the countryside also receives a 5% extra incentive if it operates through digital means. Meanwhile, the single dwelling with a fiscal valuation of up to $124,000,000 obtains a 25% reduction. This tax rationality shows that lowering taxes doesn't deprive the State of funding, but instead expands revenue.
