The video was broadcast on América Noticias and corresponds to a supermarket in La Lucila del Mar. There, two friends of Morena Rial can be seen paying for a low-value purchase at the checkout.
According to what was explained, the choice of small amounts responds to a strategy to avoid rejections. Cards with a contactless system allow people to operate without presenting an ID, except when expressly requested by the merchant.

Journalist Javier Díaz explained in detail that the women were also recorded when entering and leaving the store. They had previously attempted a larger purchase in another business, which was declined.
The maneuver was documented and today both women are under arrest, while more footage from cameras in the area is being analyzed.
