VOX once again placed the 2030 Agenda at the center of the political discussion with the presentation of a parliamentary initiative that calls for the official renunciation of the policies derived from this global plan. The proposal comes ten years after Mariano Rajoy's government accepted the United Nations commitments regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The party highlights that both PP and PSOE have supported this international framework, which it considers evidence of the lack of real debate and the absence of consultation with citizens on an issue that directly affects national sovereignty.
Criticism of bipartisanship and global commitments
According to VOX, the 2030 Agenda has meant Spain's subordination to international policies that were never submitted to a referendum. The party keeps that behind the "idealized" objectives are measures that negatively affect life, family, and the productive economy.
