VOX once again placed the 2030 Agenda at the center of the political discussion with the presentation of a parliamentary initiative that calls for the official renunciation of the policies derived from this global plan. The proposal comes ten years after Mariano Rajoy's government accepted the United Nations commitments regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The party highlights that both PP and PSOE have supported this international framework, which it considers evidence of the lack of real debate and the absence of consultation with citizens on an issue that directly affects national sovereignty.
Criticism of bipartisanship and global commitments
According to VOX, the 2030 Agenda has meant Spain's subordination to international policies that were never submitted to a referendum. The party keeps that behind the "idealized" objectives are measures that negatively affect life, family, and the productive economy.

The party also pointed out that energy commitments derived from the Agenda have had serious consequences, such as the crisis caused during the blackout on April 28, 2025, which exposed the vulnerability of the electrical system.
Proposals for a change of course
VOX calls for immediate decisions:
Officially renounce the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs as a government axis.
Prepare a report on the economic and social impact of the Agenda since 2017.
Remove all legal references to the 2030 Agenda from the Spanish legal system.
Abolish agencies and budget items linked to this framework, redirecting funds to purposes of national interest.

A commitment to sovereignty
The party emphasizes that Spain must break with what it defines as an agenda imposed by international bodies. In its view, this has eroded sovereignty, weakened the economy, and promoted values that do not represent the social majority.
For VOX, this is the time to regain control of public policies and prioritize the needs of Spaniards.
