Concern about Christian Petersen's health grew after his emergency hospitalization in San Martín de los Andes was confirmed.
The 55-year-old chef was taken to a medical center after suffering a sudden deterioration in his health while he was on an excursion in the Andean foothills area, and he remains under strict medical observation.
According to the first report released by the Ministry of Health of the province of Neuquén, Petersen presented a "multiple organ failure that requires specialized medical care", which is why he was admitted to the intensive care unit of Hospital Dr. Ramón Carrillo.

The agency clarified that, for the moment, no further details about his progress will be provided beyond the official reports.
In recent hours, various versions have circulated about the origin of the chef's clinical condition.
However, the Ministry denied that there is a medical report confirming that he suffered atrial fibrillation, the most frequent type of cardiac arrhythmia, as some media outlets reported.
The health authorities insisted that any information not issued through official channels is invalid.
The episode occurred while Petersen was taking part in an excursion to climb the Lanín volcano.
According to local media, the guide noticed that one of the members of the group was not in good physical condition and activated the emergency protocol. "He immediately notified the park ranger and requested assistance", detailed the outlet Realidad Sanmartiniense.
With an extensive career in cuisine and a strong media presence, Petersen became known together with his brother Roberto in various television shows, and he achieved great popularity as a judge on "El gran premio de la cocina."
After the call for help, the chef was rescued in the mountain area and urgently transferred to the local hospital. On the program "Puro Show," they reported that Petersen had to be sedated before his transfer to the health center, where he was admitted for a comprehensive evaluation.
