La Plata Refinery, the largest industrial complex in Argentina and one of the most important in South America, celebrated its 100 years of uninterrupted operation. Inaugurated in 1925 under the strategic vision of engineer Enrique Mosconi, the plant became consolidated as an essential pillar of the national energy system.
Currently, the refinery supplies 41% of the gasoline and 39% of the diesel consumed in the country, which makes it key infrastructure to guarantee energy supply, productive activity and economic stability.
An anniversary that looks to the future
The commemorative event took place at the La Plata Industrial Complex (CILP) and brought together YPF authorities, workers and representatives from different sectors. The day had a strong focus on the company's future and on the process of operational modernization that the oil company is undergoing.

In that context, the Real Time Operations Room (RTOR) was officially inaugurated, a room that integrates in real time all the operations of the complex and connects them with the Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC), reinforcing efficiency, safety and data-based decision-making.
Modern management and historical values
During the event, YPF president and CEO, Horacio Marín, highlighted the refinery's historical legacy and its projection toward a new stage of operational excellence.
"Today we celebrate 100 years of the La Plata Refinery. We remember engineer Enrique Mosconi and all the people who made this project possible. But we also vindicate the values that guided that management, which are the foundations on which we are building the future of our beloved YPF," he stated.
Marín also shared a personal reflection that underscored the refinery's historical bond with the local community and regional development, emphasizing its impact as a driver of industrial progress.
A symbol of productive development
La Plata Refinery was not only key to the country's energy growth, but also to the social and economic development of the entire region. Throughout its 100 years, it became a symbol of work, industry and Argentina's productive capacity.

In the current context, marked by an agenda focused on efficiency, resource rationalization and competitiveness, YPF seeks to strengthen that legacy with strategic investments and management aligned with international standards.
A tribute with a strategic outlook
As part of the celebration, a commemorative plaque was unveiled and an audiovisual projection was presented on the historic central building of the complex. The staging illuminated the façade with a journey through the refinery's main milestones and a vision of the next 100 years, reaffirming YPF's commitment to the country's energy development.
The centennial celebration was not only a recognition of the past, but also a clear signal of the course that the company seeks to consolidate: more efficiency, more technology and a strategic role in an Argentina that is committed to growth and economic order.
