In a recent interview, he confirmed that he is developing ideas for a possible third film, even with a script already written and ready to move forward.

Rebel Moon was promoted as a kind of Star Wars for adults, but it ended up being one of Netflix's biggest failures in terms of critics and audience.
Despite that, Snyder believes in his project and wants to continue exploring the universe of Kora, his protagonist, expanded even through comics outside of streaming.

In a conversation with Variety, the director explained:
He is currently working on a film about Los Angeles SWAT teams.
He plans to return to Rebel Moon after that project.
He already has the script for the third part written.
