Zack Snyder wants to revive his greatest science fiction failure on Netflix
Zack Snyder wants to return with Rebel Moon and already has the script ready for a third installment, despite Netflix's rejection
Zack Snyder doesn't give up. Despite the poor reception of his previous two installments, the director wants to try again with Rebel Moon.
In a recent interview, he confirmed that he is developing ideas for a possible third film, even with a script already written and ready to move forward.

Snyder's greatest science fiction failure
Rebel Moon was promoted as a kind of Star Wars for adults, but it ended up being one of Netflix's biggest failures in terms of critics and audience.
Despite that, Snyder believes in his project and wants to continue exploring the universe of Kora, his protagonist, expanded even through comics outside of streaming.
What did Snyder say about the future of the saga?
In a conversation with Variety, the director explained:
- He is currently working on a film about Los Angeles SWAT teams.
- He plans to return to Rebel Moon after that project.
- He already has the script for the third part written.

Netflix, however, closed the door on him after the weak performance of Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver, and also canceled his other zombie film saga.
A risky bet in a complicated moment
Snyder intended to make up to six films in this universe inspired by Star Wars. But the numbers did not follow, and without support from critics or the public, moving forward becomes more difficult.

Despite the outlook, the director doesn't lose hope and keeps alive the possibility of closing his story with a new installment.
