The Citizens' Revolution (RC) caucus immediately expelled Assemblywoman Annie Muñoz, after considering that her actions violated principles of the movement in the midst of the dispute over a legislative seat.
The decision came after Muñoz opposed Priscila Schettini's principalization process, which generated an internal break within the corrista bloc.

In a statement, the organization described its conduct as a serious violation of ethical, political and democratic principles, and warned that it will not allow its own ranks to ignore the popular mandate.
The conflict stems from Schettini's initial impossibility of assuming office after the suspension of his political rights by the Dispute Electoral Tribunal. In this context, his alternate occupied the seat, which later passed to Muñoz after his departure for criminal proceedings
.
Later, Schettini regained his rights and applied to assume his position, but the Legislative Board had already principalized Muñoz, which sparked political and legal confrontation within the Legislature.
