
President Noboa strengthens road safety with the delivery of 124 pickup trucks
The delivery strengthens the police's operational capacity to combat organized crime
In an event held in Guayaquil, the president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, delivered 124 new trucks to the National Police to strengthen security on 40 road axes in the country. The measure aims to enhance police operations and ensure a more effective response to emergencies and threats on the highways.
During his speech, Noboa reaffirmed his commitment to national security, stating that Ecuador doesn't bow to crime nor to the politics that support it. He also warned that terrorist groups are intensifying their attacks to destabilize the country as the elections approach.
The president emphasized that the fight against crime is not easy and acknowledged the courage of police officers. "Today more than ever, their bravery has the support of an entire country," he stated.
The investment in security seeks to protect citizens and confront the violence promoted by corruption.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior, John Reimberg, highlighted that this advancement strengthens the operational capacity of the Police on the road network, something that hasn't happened in 16 years. With the new vehicles, 720 police officers will be able to patrol more efficiently and respond more quickly to emergency situations.
The General Commander of the Police, Víctor Hugo Zárate, explained that the fleet will be strategically distributed in various locations, prioritizing the provinces with the highest risks.
The goal is to reinforceprevention, intelligence, and tactical actionon the highways, ensuring the protection and assistance of citizens.
With this delivery, the government of Daniel Noboa takes a firm step in its fight against organized crime and in the protection of citizens, showing its commitment to solid and effective security throughout the country.
