The principal counterterrorism advisor to President Donald Trump, Sebastian Gorka, confirmed that U.S. and Nigerian forces killed 199 extremists and seized weapons belonging to ISIS terrorists during a recent secret mission deep in Africa.
The government official, in an interview with Just The News, classified the counterterrorism operation as "the most successful since September 11", especially considering that, a few months ago, a joint operation between U.S. and Nigerian forces eliminated Abu-Bilal al-Minuki - the second in command of ISIS globally - along with several of his lieutenants near Lake Chad.
"This is a historic moment because that operation in Nigeria… that single operation resulted in the death of 199 enemies", Gorka stated. "That is the most successful counterterrorism operation since September 11. That is the enormity of what the president's new counterterrorism strategy is doing for Americans to keep us all safe."

Trump personally approved the deployment of U.S. troops to Nigeria last month to degrade the capabilities of the Islamic State in Nigeria and protect the Christian population in the area persecuted by Islamists. Gorka claims that approximately 1,031 jihadists have been killed since the Republican mogul returned to the White House for a second term.
"He sent a message to those jihadists," Gorka declared. "I am not here to change regimes, I am not here to fix other countries, but if they deliberately target Christians for being Christians, we will come down on them like the hammers of hell", he concluded.
The anti-insurgency operation in Nigeria involves the National Security Council, the Department of War, and the Department of State working together. Gorka revealed that this operation targets all types of ISIS leaders attempting to spread the message of jihad, not just the masterminds.
