In the last 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force has carried out more than 170 strikes in different areas of the Gaza Strip, targeting terrorists, military structures, weapons depots, and facilities used to plan ambushes, the Israel Defense Forces reported.
Among the targets hit were observation posts and tunnels used to hide explosives and prepare attacks.
On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers identified and killed a terrorist armed with an explosive device who was about to carry out an imminent attack.

In northern Gaza, the forces discovered and destroyed an ambush post where an explosive ready to be activated was also found.
In the southern part of the Strip, the troops eliminated several terrorists who were attempting to approach Israeli positions and posed a direct threat.
The Etzioni Reserve Brigade (Sixth Brigade), deployed in Rafah in recent weeks, has conducted extensive counterterrorism operations that resulted in the neutralization of "dozens" of Hamas fighters and the destruction of tunnels and structures both underground and on the surface.
After completing its mission in Rafah, the brigade was transferred to Khan Yunis, where observation posts were also dismantled and more terrorist cells were eliminated.
The Israeli army emphasizes that these operations are part of a constant effort to guarantee the security of its citizens in the face of the terrorist threat.
It should be recalled that on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an unprecedented attack against Israeli border communities, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 252 Israelis and foreigners were kidnapped.
For Israel, neutralizing Hamas's military capabilities is an indispensable condition not only to prevent new attacks but also to achieve the safe return of the kidnapped individuals.
