They reported political operative Eduardo Preve for assaulting a couple

Eduardo Preve is a well-known political operative of the ultra Uruguayan left who gains access in a very murky way to complaints that in the Prosecutor's Office should be strictly confidential.

For years he has been operating politically in favor of the left, basically in favor of politicians from Frente Amplio and its satellites such as PIT-CNT or FUCVAM.

In recent hours it became known that this political operative who self-identifies as a "journalist" was reported after assaulting a couple at the Punta del Diablo resort in Rocha.

The facts

Rocha Police, through the Punta del Diablo precinct, received a complaint last Sunday, February 22, against the political operative Eduardo Preve.

The complainant was a 52-year-old man residing in Maldonado.

According to his account, this man parked his car on Saturday on Volga Street near Simón Bolívar, and went down to the beach for half an hour.

"When we returned, a male person was standing next to my vehicle and shouted at us from a distance [about why] we had parked there," he stated.

The complainant asserted that the car was parked on the grass, "leaving the entrance to the gentleman's property free." "After a brief exchange of words, he picked up a large chunk of pavement from the street and threatened to throw it at the vehicle and to run us over with the pickup truck he owns. At that moment, I got into the vehicle to move it from the place, and this person (Preve) grabbed me violently by the neck through the window, which is why I got out of the vehicle to defend myself. At that moment, the man whom I assume was his father — because he was an older person — stepped between us and called for calm, so the incident did not escalate further," he indicated.

After this episode, the complainant and Preve left the place. When the police officer asked him whether he knew the person he was talking about, the 52-year-old individual answered that he did. "The person is Eduardo Preve," he said.

It is not unusual for this subject who self-identifies as a "journalist" to be involved in violent incidents. He is a serial liar who devotes himself to smearing and defaming permanently through his personal Twitter account and through different media outlets.

He had a column on M24 radio, which belongs to the Tupamaros terrorist group. That column was called "La tapadita" and Preve released supposed scoops that were often fabricated. His idea was to scandalize the audience with accusations that often had no basis whatsoever and that always targeted political leaders of the Coalición Republicana.

He is a true political operative.
