The refrigeration company founded in Córdoba celebrates its 25-year history with an event that brought together 3,000 attendees at the Exhibition Complex. During the meeting (which began on Tuesday and will end today), the managers of Helacor, the brand's owner, announced an ambitious investment plan that includes U$S 40,000,000 to build a
second cold room.
This high-tech work will require 2 years of work and will stabilize the stock to avoid shortages of merchandise during the summer season.
Productive growth will be complemented by the addition of 2 new manufacturing lines by 2028, with an additional outlay of U$S 6,000,000. At the international level, the brand seeks to start commercial operations in southern Brazil during 2029 to reach 40,000,000 potential customers. Currently, the company already exports 8,000,000 kilos of ice cream and maintains a strong presence in Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, Chile
and Ecuador.
The firm's current infrastructure includes a 33,000 m2 factory located on a 17-hectare property in the Ferreyra Industrial Park. This facility operates the largest automated cold room in Latin America, which has a storage capacity of 12,000,000 kilos. Despite the opening of imports, management clarified that it did not register drops in sales volumes or changes in its external suppliers

Operational reach and production figures
The brand's economic impact translates into the generation of 10,000 direct and indirect jobs through its more than 2,000 active franchises. The chain also has 1,300 social ice cream shops and maintains commercial links with 2,000 suppliers that make up its complex logistics and supply network. With a presence in 922 locations, the company manages 14,800,000 packages annually and dispatches a total of 90,000 orders to its points of sale

In terms of primary production, the firm uses 50,000,000 liters of milk and 8,500,000 kilos of fudge to make its products every year. This volume of raw material makes it possible to produce an annual production of 96,000,000 kilos of ice cream that are distributed throughout the Southern Cone of the continent. The stability of the domestic market has allowed none of its branches to close due to lack of sales, consolidating its position as the fourth largest ice cream production network in the
world.
Managers stressed that long-term planning is essential to sustain the pace of an infrastructure that mobilizes millions of kilos monthly. The objective of the new investments is to optimize loading and unloading processes through intelligent systems that speed up distribution in regional markets. At the turn of a quarter of a century, the Córdoba company is focusing on strengthening its value chain to face the challenge of competing in the Brazilian market
