The Government of Javier Milei is carrying out a clear and sustained strategy for the recovery of the Falkland Islands, with the administration that more progress has been made in recent decades on the issue.
Unlike Kirchnerism, which fills its mouth talking about sovereignty but never achieves anything, the current administration combines diplomacy, international politics and internal strengthening to achieve real progress in the recovery of the territory.
The Milei Government's plan is based on an approach that prioritizes diplomatic channels and seeks to create real conditions to force serious negotiations with the United Kingdom.
Within this framework, the Government is deploying a policy of international alignment aimed at strengthening ties with Western powers such as the United States, with the objective of gaining support in multilateral forums and increasing diplomatic pressure on London.

As recently stated by the Casa Rosada, Argentine demand is constantly present in all international spheres, including the UN, the OAS
and Mercosur.
Milei himself highlighted obtaining “unprecedented support”, especially stressing Chile's support as a milestone in regional politics. Along these lines, the President stated: “We are doing everything humanly possible to bring the Malvinas back into the hands of Argentina. Sovereignty cannot be negotiated, but it must be done judiciously, with a cold brain at the service of a warm heart

Economy and Defense Another of the
central axes of the strategy is the economic strengthening of the country as a tool of international power. The libertarian administration maintains that a prosperous and stable Argentina will allow the claim to sovereignty to be taken more seriously. Hand in hand with domestic growth, the strategy includes the modernization of the Armed Forces, with the objective of recovering capacities and international prestige, putting greater pressure on the United Kingdom.
In this context, in the first months of the Government, 24 F-16 Fighting Falcon combat aircraft were purchased from Denmark, for an amount close to 300 million dollars.
