Racing is fully focused on the final of the Torneo Clausura against Estudiantes. However, in recent hours, a concern has arisen that has not gone unnoticed within the club. Santiago Sosa, captain and a key player for Gustavo Costas, has become one of Flamengo's main targets for the upcoming transfer window.
The interest comes at a sensitive time, right after the Carioca team eliminated La Academia in the semifinals on their way to the Copa Libertadores title. Despite that, from Brazil, they have already made initial inquiries to learn about the conditions of the 26-year-old midfielder, although there have not been any formal advances yet.
La Academia's position is clear: Sosa is not for sale, and only an offer that meets the release clause (set at 12 million euros) could take the player away from Avellaneda. Club officials are even considering improving his contract, which expires at the end of 2027, and raising that clause due to the risk of losing him.
