In Córdoba, cattle farming has reached historic price levels not seen in two decades. Feeder calves are priced 25% above the 2005-2024 average. In dollars, prices reach U$S 3.00 per live kilo, which is 80% higher than the average of the last ten years.
Young steers also confirm the trend with values 17% above the historical average. The record was set in April 2022, with $4,200 per kilo adjusted to today's currency. International demand, especially from China, has consolidated this surge in prices.
This scenario positions Córdoba as one of the provinces with the most dynamic livestock sectors. Current margins exceed expectations and strengthen the provincial breeding model.

Profitability and predictability for Córdoba's agricultural sector
According to recent economic data, profitability in cattle breeding grew by 32% year-on-year. Costs increased by 35%, while revenues from cattle sales rose by 58%. This ensures sustained and attractive profitability for Córdoba's producers.
The relationship between revenues and costs places 2025 as one of the best years of the last decade. Only 2022, with an exceptional peak, surpasses it in terms of net results. The improved breeding model in the region shows margins of $294,000 per hectare.
