Fernando Rambaldi, mayor of La Calera, provided details about the structure of state operations during the current summer season. The leader dismissed reports about an alleged administrative shutdown and assured that the administration is continuing its course without interruptions. According to the municipal chief, «we are working with complete normality and with the summer staff», in order to meet the needs of the community.
Regarding the situation of the central building, he clarified that the measure responds to an internal logistical restructuring of the staff of the various areas.Rambaldi explained that "only the municipal palace is closed due to an organizational issue involving contracted employees, permanent staff, and officials (…) 85% of the municipality's areas remain active and working normally." Public service remains in place through the various external offices and the digital platforms of the local administration.
The highest local authority emphasized his daily presence in office and the permanent availability of essential services for residents. The mayor stressed that "with these measures we have managed to organize and plan the work; personally, I keep going to work every day, the municipality never stops, we are 24/7, including weekends." He also insisted that "if residents need to carry out any procedure, they can do it without any problem; we have guaranteed service."

In addition to administrative continuity, the municipality is promoting various recreational initiatives to encourage family gatherings in public spaces. Plaza San Martín will be the main venue for the cultural series called Cinema Under the Stars, an initiative free of charge for all residents. The program seeks to offer a high-quality nighttime leisure alternative for inhabitants and tourists who visit the Sierras Chicas region.

The screenings are scheduled to begin promptly at 9:00 p.m., with the installation of a giant high-definition screen. During the month of January 2026, the events will take place on Saturday 01/10, Friday 01/16, Friday 01/23, and finally on Friday 01/30. This comprehensive proposal combines the commitment of the municipal administration with access to culture and the strengthening of civic ties.
The organizers confirmed that the selected films are suitable for all audiences, ensuring a pleasant experience for family groups from La Calera. Attendees will be able to enjoy film productions under the summer sky, taking advantage of the natural environment offered by the urban center.
