Carlos Bianchi spoke about Boca's possible interest in replacing Gago.
Faced with the inevitable question about his intention to return to Xeneize, the Virrey was blunt with his response
The return leg of the Champions League semifinals between PSG and Arsenal, which ended with a 2-1 victory for the Parisian team, had a distinguished spectator in the stands of the Parc des Princes: Carlos Bianchi. El Virrey spoke about a possible return to Boca following the departure of Fernando Gago as head coach.
"I am very well in the situation I'm in," Bianchi declared to the Movistar+ channel when asked about a hypothetical fourth stint with the Xeneize, hinting that he doesn't plan to return to coaching, an activity he has stayed away from since 2013.

"One has a professional sense. I would have to be here. And I want to enjoy," added the former coach, who recently turned 76. Bianchi mentioned that every weekend he shares a lunch with his family, referring to the small pleasures of everyday life that he currently wants to prioritize. "I would have an obligation," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, from Boca, Juan Román Riquelme also dismissed this possibility. "I have no idea where the Bianchi thing came from. I care for him a lot and hope he's enjoying himself in Europe. He gave us too much. We Bosteros love him a lot," assured the club president.

Riquelme confirmed Herrón's continuity until the end of the Torneo Apertura
Amid the dance of names to replace Gago, the Boca president confirmed that Mariano Herrón's interim position will continue at least until the Torneo Apertura ends.
"I haven't spoken to anyone. The decision is already made: Mariano will be the coach until the championship ends," he assured in his interview on Argenzuela.

Additionally, the leader highlighted his support for the coaching staff and the squad: "I wish Herrón continues until the end. We trust our players. We respect all opponents, but if we do things right, we have great chances of continuing to advance."
On the other hand, Román was optimistic about Boca's upcoming match against Lanús. "I have faith in our players, in the people, and in our home. If we play a good match on Saturday, we have many chances to win," he assured.
To close, he also referred to Gago's tenure as the club's coach: "He didn't disappoint me. This is football. I have great affection for Fernando. He enjoyed every day at the club and I wish him the best in whatever comes next for his career."
