A massive anti-drug operation carried out in the city of Córdoba made it possible to dismantle a drug trafficking gang with a strong presence in local neighborhoods.
The operation was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force (FPA) after eight months of investigation coordinated with the judiciary.
The result was the seizure of drugs valued at more than $1.7 billion, representing one of the biggest blows to local drug trafficking.

Raids in several neighborhoods
The 12 simultaneous raids were carried out in neighborhoods such as La Toma, El Trébol, Las Violetas, Carrara de Horizonte, General Paz, Centro, and Las Palmas.
120 police officers participated, including the K-9 Division, who stormed properties linked to the organization.
The properties served different functions: sales points, storage, and packaging of the drugs seized by the authorities.

Seized drugs and arrests
Authorities seized 48 bricks of cocaine weighing 51 kilograms (112 pounds), equivalent to more than 350,000 doses on the illegal market.
The shipment was valued at $1.782 billion pesos, in addition to marijuana, firearms, and a money counting machine being seized.
Authorities also found $12.5 million in cash and nearly U$S55,000, confirming the scale of the gang's operations.

Judicial actions
The five detainees, all adults, were placed at the disposal of the Narcotics Prosecution Office of the Second Shift.
They are charged with crimes under the National Narcotics Law, as part of the case seeking to dismantle the network.
The operation reaffirms the zero-tolerance strategy against drug trafficking in the most vulnerable neighborhoods of Córdoba's capital.
