A massive anti-drug operation carried out in the city of Córdoba made it possible to dismantle a drug trafficking gang with a strong presence in local neighborhoods.

The operation was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force (FPA) after eight months of investigation coordinated with the judiciary.

The result was the seizure of drugs valued at more than $1.7 billion, representing one of the biggest blows to local drug trafficking.

Judicial actions

The five detainees, all adults, were placed at the disposal of the Narcotics Prosecution Office of the Second Shift.

The operation reaffirms the zero-tolerance strategy against drug trafficking in the most vulnerable neighborhoods of Córdoba's capital.
