Three years after the accident that cost Alejandra Bengoa her life, family members and survivors held a demonstration in Cura Brochero. Marina and Alexa, the young women who were injured in the tragedy, led the call for justice. At 17 years old, they decided to take an active role in what they consider an unacceptable judicial delay.
The demand was directed at prosecutor Analía Gallarato, whom the families are asking to step aside from the case due to "lack of impartiality." In a public letter, the victims' relatives recalled the irreparable harm caused by former Peronist legislator Oscar González. They also insisted that the provincial government must be held accountable for having assigned him a confiscated official vehicle.
The gathering took place in front of the courthouse in the mountain town, in an atmosphere of deep pain and frustration. The family members reported that the former official is trying to settle the case with money and without accepting criminal responsibility.

Rejection of probation and criticism of prosecutor Gallarato
On November 20, a key hearing will be held to evaluate the probation proposal submitted by the defense. González offered financial compensation—whose amount was not specified—and a donation to an educational institution. For the families, this is an attempt to "buy impunity" given the seriousness of the incident.
Gustavo Álvarez, father of one of the survivors, reiterated that they will not accept the compensatory agreement. He stated that the proposed amount would barely cover a few months of medical treatment. He pointed out that Alexa needs ongoing therapy and that the offer "doesn't include any commitment to healthcare assistance."
