Córdoba: a mother is arrested for using her daughters to sell drugs

The woman was arrested by the FPA. She operated with her three daughters, one of whom is a minor. They sold cocaine and marijuana

A woman was arrested in Villa Nuevaaccused of involving her underage daughter in drug dealing. The investigation was conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Police Force (FPA) with the intervention of the Public Prosecutor's Office. Along with the mother, her other two daughters, both of legal age and alleged accomplices, were also arrested.

The raids were carried out in two homes in the Centro neighborhood of that locality in the General San Martín department. There, portioned doses of cocaine and marijuana were found, ready for sale. Cash and other cutting and packaging materials were also seized.

The minor actively participated in the distribution logistics, according to official sources. Her role was key to aggravating the charges against the mother and expediting judicial action. The situation exposes an increasingly common practice: the use of minors in street-level drug networks.

A four-month investigation

The operation was the result of an investigation that lasted four months, according to FPA sources. During that time, movements consistent with drug sales from the raided homes were documented. Intelligence work made it possible to identify the three women as part of the same family group.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Córdoba ordered the raids after gathering sufficient evidence. At both points of sale, links were detected between the accused and clients of the illegal circuit. In addition, the seized cell phones will be analyzed to expand the network of those responsible.

The case is under the jurisdiction of the Villa María Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor's Office, which ordered the arrests. The three women were charged with violating National Narcotics Law No. 23.737. The use of a minor could result in additional charges for corruption of minors or facilitation of a crime.

Minors in street-level drug dealing

FPA sources indicated that so far this year, several similar cases have already been detected in the provincial interior. The use of minors not only violates their rights, but also increases the penalties for those who involve them. It is a cowardly and functional practice for crime, seeking to avoid controls by appealing to the appearance of innocence.

Judicial sources do not rule out that there may be more raids and arrests linked to this criminal group. In the coming days, witness and neighbor statements are expected, as well as the analysis of digital evidence. The minor was placed under the care of the Secretariat for Children, Adolescents, and Family (SeNAF), which intervened after the operation.
