The corrupt USAID will be investigated for strange associations with the nefarious Soros.
The U.S. agency, which under the Democratic Biden administration was an ode to corruption, will be investigated for its ties to the socialist
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been under intense scrutiny following the revelation that it channeled more than 160 million dollars to non-governmental organizations and associations linked to billionaire George Soros.
These entities, such as the Open Society Foundations, were the main beneficiaries of the funds. According to critics, this funding aimed to influence European politics and impose the "woke" ideology, which contrasts with the traditional interests of the United States.
One of the most cited examples is the East-West Management Institute, a non-profit organization linked to Soros, which received more than 250 million dollars over the years.

Their activities included promoting judicial reforms in the Balkans, strengthening civil society in Africa, and advising on European Union accession processes in countries like Serbia and Georgia.
Republican lawmakers have openly criticized these projects, pointing out that, in some cases, such as in Albania, the promoted reforms could have granted the socialist government control over the judiciary.
USAID's ties with Soros have also sparked controversy in other regions. In Ukraine, for example, funding to Soros-linked entities, such as the Anti-Corruption Action Center, coincided with the Maidan Revolution, which overthrew President Viktor Yanukovych.
This organization played a significant role in criticizing the Ukrainian government, aligning with the official stance of the U.S. State Department at that time, Democrat John Kerry.

Additionally, it has been noted that USAID's support for these entities could have impacted the internal politics of several countries, generating diplomatic tensions.
The Donald Trump administration, upon becoming aware of these issues, decided to temporarily halt USAID's operations to review its programs and structures.
The White House justified the measure by stating that some of the agency's initiatives did not align with American interests and, in some cases, were contributing to international instability.
Presidential spokesperson Karoline Leavitt mentioned examples of questionable subsidies, such as support for diversity campaigns in Serbia, funding a comic about trans identity in Peru, and promoting a musical about inclusion in Ireland, which caused even more criticism about USAID's effectiveness and priorities.

Moreover, Soros's funding through USAID has been a topic of debate in countries like India, where Narendra Modi's government has accused the magnate of financing opposition groups and attempting to destabilize the government.
Critics argue that Soros uses his financial influence to change governments and promote his own political interests in various parts of the world.
In this context, several political actors have expressed concern about the use of U.S. public money to support external agendas that do not reflect the internal priorities of the United States.

One of the most revealing reports on the relationship between USAID and Soros's organizations shows that in the last 15 years, the agency granted more than 270 million dollars to institutions linked to his network, such as the East-West Management Institute.
This organization, which describes its mission as strengthening democratic societies and collaboration between governments and civil society, has received large sums of money for judicial reform programs and strengthening the rule of law in countries like Albania, Armenia, Cambodia, and Georgia.
However, several critics have pointed out that the use of these funds has not been transparent and that, in numerous cases, it could have contributed to political instability.

The situation has caught the attention of prominent figures, such as Elon Musk, who has supported the Trump administration's criticisms of USAID's funding of "controversial" and "woke" projects.
Musk has amplified Republican criticisms, accusing USAID of acting as Soros's "personal piggy bank," who is already known for his intervention in international political affairs.
On January 20, the White House announced a temporary freeze of USAID's budget for 90 days, arguing that its priorities did not align with Trump's "America First" policy and that, in some cases, its initiatives could have contributed to destabilizing world peace.
