Enzo Fernández, a desire of Real Madrid that could happen through a swap
The former River player is on the list of the Madrid team, and a player exchange is being negotiated to reduce costs
According to a recent report from Goal, Real Madrid would have a strong interest in Enzo Fernández, Chelsea player, and Xabi Alonso, replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, has already given his approval to proceed with his incorporation.
What remains to be determined is whether the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States between June 14 and July 13, will be with the Blues or with the Merengue.
This wouldn't be the only move linked to both the midfielder who emerged at River and World Champion with the National Team as well as the Madrid team. According to the same report from the mentioned outlet, Chelsea could use this interest from the White House as an opportunity to request a transfer of Rodrygo Goes, who experienced a considerable drop in his level during the current season, which led to speculation that he would be looking for a change of scenery.

This situation isn't far-fetched, as both players have a high price. On one hand, the Argentine's clause is around 75 million euros, while Rodrygo's is 100, so it would be a viable option to reduce costs.
If Enzo's transfer to Real is finalized, he would be the first Argentine to join the white team since Ángel Di Maria in 2010. Although Nico Paz recently played there, the young midfielder emerged from the club's youth ranks, so the former River player would be the first Argentine request in more than 15 years.

Enzo's numbers with Chelsea
Since his arrival at the London team, the midfielder who emerged from River has accumulated 106 matches, in which he scored 14 goals and 19 assists. So far, he hasn't won official titles with the club, but he could have his first star in the Conference League final against Betis. The decisive match will be played at the Wroclaw in Breslavia (Poland), on Wednesday, May 28 at 4 PM, Argentina time.
