Ethereum recently inaugurated its first offices in Argentina, consolidating the physical presence of one of the world's most relevant Web3 ecosystems in Buenos Aires. The blockchain network founded by Vitalik Buterin opened a 300-square-meter (3,229-square-foot) space in Polo DOT, located at the northern end of the city, inside the Workplace by IRSA complex.
The decision comes months after Buterin's visit to Buenos Aires last November, when he participated in Dev Connect, an event that brought together more than 17,000 attendees from around the world and that marked a milestone for the local crypto community. After that massive gathering, the organization moved forward with the opening of its own hub in the city, establishing its base in the building that IRSA positions as a technological innovation hub.
The landing is carried out in partnership with Fundación Crecimiento and includes the formation of a multicultural team of 70 professionals. The objective is to generate synergies with technology companies that already operate in the complex, among them Mercado Libre, in addition to fintechs such as Pomelo, Cashea, Geopagos, and Ripio, a pioneer in digital asset exchange.

IRSA highlighted the significance of the arrival. "“This milestone strengthens the concept of a tech community that we dreamed of when we created Workplace two years ago, inspired by global benchmarks such as Silicon Valley and El Cubo in Brazil”," explained Ben Elsztain, director of Workplace by IRSA. According to the executive, Ethereum's installation represents the "“logical step”" after previous collaborations in gatherings such as Dev Connect held at La Rural.
The complex operates under the concept of a "“5-star business club”", aimed at technology and digital companies in a growth stage. It currently houses more than 2,000 professionals and promotes coexistence among startups, scaleups, and established companies. IRSA's commitment aims to consolidate Polo DOT as a comprehensive technology district, also adding the academic offering of IAE Business School, with the intention of retaining local talent.
Ethereum llegó a la Argentina.
In contrast with other markets where interest in cryptocurrencies fluctuates according to the price of Bitcoin, in Argentina adoption has structural characteristics. The turnout of 17,000 people at the latest global fair served as an indicator of the sector's dynamism: the country not only uses crypto as a hedge against inflation, but also develops infrastructure and specialized talent.
With this opening, Ethereum formalizes its presence in the city of Buenos Aires and adds a physical address in Saavedra. The move reinforces the positioning of the Argentine capital as one of the most active centers of the regional crypto ecosystem.
