Fatal crash in Salsipuedes, Córdoba: a motorcyclist died after colliding with a car
It happened in the Cerro Sol neighborhood. The victim was 27 years old. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed
A 27-year-old man died in the early hours of Friday after being involved in an accident in the Cerro Sol neighborhood, in the city of Salsipuedes. The incident occurred at the intersection of Sarmiento Avenue and San Luis Street, a busy area of the Sierras Chicas. The motorcycle he was riding collided with a private vehicle for reasons that have not yet been determined.
The young man was riding a Corven 110 when he collided with a Citroën C3 driven by a 63-year-old woman. The force of the impact caused injuries that proved fatal for the driver of the smaller vehicle. Medical personnel confirmed his death at the scene.
The driver of the car was unharmed and was assisted by police officers and the emergency service. The area was immediately cordoned off to preserve the scene. Investigators are attempting to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash to determine responsibility.

Judicial intervention and expert analysis to clarify the incident
The case is now in the hands of the on-duty Prosecutor's Office of the Sierras Chicas Judicial Department. Authorities ordered the review of footage from city cameras and interviews with witnesses. The vehicles involved were seized for the corresponding mechanical examination.
Córdoba Police reported that a breathalyzer test was administered to the driver of the car, which yielded a negative result. In addition, it was confirmed that both vehicles had up-to-date documentation. No hypothesis regarding the cause of the collision has been ruled out.
Residents of the area pointed out that the intersection where the incident occurred often has heavy traffic and poor nighttime visibility. They requested increased police presence and lighting in the area to prevent further accidents. The Municipality has not commented on the complaints.

Córdoba records increase in traffic accidents in suburban areas
This latest incident adds to a worrying series of accidents in urban corridors of the Sierras Chicas. Authorities acknowledge an increase in fatal collisions in suburban areas with intermunicipal traffic. The main causes include speeding and lack of signage.
The deceased had not yet been officially identified at the close of this edition. Authorities were awaiting the presence of his relatives to carry out the identification. Meanwhile, the Highway Police recommended taking extreme precautions when driving on internal roads of the mountain corridor.
The tragedy has once again raised alarms about the need for road safety measures in commuter towns. Salsipuedes, like other towns near Córdoba's capital, has experienced significant population growth. However, many of its roads are not prepared for the current volume of traffic.
