FIFA published the first update of the national team ranking of the year after the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, and there were no changes in the leading positions.
Spain remains at the very top of the world ranking, with the Argentina national team in second place, awaiting the clash that they will play on March 27 in Qatar in the Finalissima.
France appears behind both and completes the podium, while England and Brazil remain in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Meanwhile, AFCON produced movements further down the table. Morocco, despite losing in the final, managed to get into the world's top ten national teams and currently occupies eighth place. Meanwhile, Senegal, the brand-new African champion, was the team that climbed the most: it rose seven positions and is in 12th place.
