Formula 1: Colapinto spoke about Alpine's poor performance and the upcoming Canadian GP
The Argentine driver will contest his fourth race with the French team on a circuit where he has never competed, but where he hopes to score his first points
Franco Colapinto is preparing for one of the most important challenges of his short career in Formula 1. Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, Alpine released a press statement featuring comments from the Argentine driver, who highlighted the collective effort to improve the team's performance and appreciated the opportunity to compete for the first time at the Gilles-Villeneuve circuit.
"We had many ups and downs as a team during the triple-header. We didn't get the results we were looking for, but we can see the car's potential and pace when we put everything together," said Colapinto, who already gained experience in Imola, Monaco, and Barcelona.
"Pierre and I have spent time with the team in Enstone to review the last races and work in the simulator for the next round. I'm really looking forward to the Canadian Grand Prix next weekend and I'm ready to get back on track," he added.

In the upcoming GP, the Argentine will face a triple challenge. On one hand, there is his adaptation to the team, with which he made his debut just 3 races ago, then there is his first experience on the Canadian track and, as an extra factor, the possible adverse weather conditions, since rain is expected during the weekend.
"I've never raced at the Gilles-Villeneuve Circuit, so it will be crucial for me to get familiar as quickly as possible to prepare well for qualifying. It's likely that the weather will play a role during the weekend, as we've seen in previous years, so that's something to keep in mind. The goal is to complete a solid weekend and hope to score points on both sides of the garage," Colapinto concluded.

The Canadian Grand Prix will take place this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. (Argentine time), and Colapinto will try to turn the team's previous efforts and confidence into a result that brings him closer to his first points in the category.
